I played Vanguard closer to it's release, and I loved it. There just wasn't enough meat to the game to keep it going. By meat, I think I mean player base. They didn't advertise at all, and the game was horrifically unbalanced (in favor of the bard).
The game itself had so much potential though. Anyone able to tell me if it has improved yet?
