MASTER CHARACTER SHEET

THE RULES

There is to be a limit of two action posts a day. You can have all the dialog posts you want, but keep the action posts to a minimum. As in no more than two per day. There is to be no god-moding. A little trench-coating is fine, as you can see if you read the Career Highlight in my Character Sheet, but not too much. As far as I can tell, that's pretty much it for rules.

Now, then, here's what I want to do. We'll keep it slow at first, for two reasons. We need to get to know each other (you know, our characters), and also because my computer time is going to be severely limited for a little while longer, and I don't want this thing going too fast and losing me just because I haven't been able to get on. So, what we'll do is, start out on a sangheili battleship, traveling through slipspace. We'll talk for a while, and see where we go from there.

Oh, and one more rule. Have fun, guys.

Kopaka thudded down a hallway, looking over the varied creatures around him. He was quite proud of the fact that the hall cleared in front of him. He and his bond-brother had been called to some meeting, and now stood in front of the large door.
Logara, let us wait for them to arrive.
I would like to see them before we meet.

Logara stood right beside him, sharing the thought as if they were one being. As they stood across the hall, statues ten feet tall and weighing several tons, a few differences did stand out. Logara appeared lopsided from the lack of spines on one side of his back, and Kopaka had a blackened ring cut into his massive shield.

Austin, also known as Spartan-091, was walking through the corridor leading to the meeting hall. He was fully armored, and had an M6D pistol magnetized to his leg armor. He didn't trust their "allies" one bit, it was only his orders to be on his best behavior that stopped him from bringing his personal favorite, the M90 shotgun. Several Unggoy, or Grunts to most marines, dove out of the way as the spartan walked quickly to the meeting hall.

He noticed a Hunter pair, and his body tensed and reached for his pistol on instinct, before he remembered where he was. With a glare, hidden behind his visor, he passed them and entered the meeting room.

"Now before anyone starts freaking out and trying to kill him and whatnot let's consider the facts, we can assume he now has super hero-esque regen, he can mortal kombat your ass, and well uhhmm he has cookies."

Jak walked down the hall way woth a scowl on his face. He hated meetings they alway ran on to long. As he turned the corner he saw a hunter pair and one of the "Spartans." He satyed out of the way of the lek'golo, he lost his best frined becuse of a pair of them. Of course it was his fault for steping in the way of one who lost his bond brother. He fingerd his needler at the sight of the demon. He had nothing against him personaly. He just didn't trust anyone who didn't take off their helmet once in a while.

Marius grunted as he walked down the hallway, too many humans, too many filthy Sangheili and not enough Jiralhanae! As he walked toward the meeting room he saw a pair of hunters, they were communicating with each other it seemed.

"Hey Lekgolo's. what are you doing?! Meeting starts in 5 minutes, you should get a move on, it will probably take you that long to get there!" Marius laughed as he continued walking, he opened the door to the meeting and saw many Sangheili, he grunted again as he sat down beside a Grunt, "Too many damned Sangheili if you ask me!"

The pair growled simultaneously at the Jiralhanae's arrogance. It should be crushed. They moved into the meeting room and, in spite, stood directly behind him.

"We hurried here just for you." Logara said.

Jak hurried into the room not wanting to get the Jiralhanae any angrier. Sure he hated the damn brutes but they could snap his neck in a close range fight. He sat down ext to a fairly tough looking Sangheili, one of the lower jaws was missing.

afer causeing suficent surprise on 4 the unggoy he was sat next to yusnak flew up to a higher perch on a raised level of seats, he could see almost all of the meeting hall

a good spot

he looks down at the gathered races here sangheili, mgalekgolo, even some jiralhanae and a human,

these are indeed interesting times.

yusnak notices how close a pair of mgalekgolo are standing to a jiralhanae and nudges a yanme'e next to him and points

"i dont know mgalekgolo well but judging by that jiralhanae's expression i dont think those 2 are feeling very jiralhanae freindly today, i wonder what he did...."

jiralhanae never were that smart. oh well i wonder when the meeting is about.

Rolm walk towards the meeting. He hated the human allies, and even more, the brute was allowed to join. He didn't know what his leaders were thinking, but they must be out of their minds he though.

No... He though They must have a good reason. Keep calm Rolm, and save you angry for the battle when it comes.

He went in the meeting hall and look around. Seeing both sides here as he took his seat beside his Sangheili brother. Not trusting any of the others.

Logan turned from observing his view screen to regard the room full of mixed species. He noticed that already they had plenty of cannon fodder, the room was packed with grunts. He saw one sangheili, one jiralhanae, one kig-yar, one yanme'e, and, he was pleased to see, a fellow Spartan and a lekgolo pair. He nodded slightly to his old comrade, the Spartans had all known one another since childhood. As an afterthought, thinking of their leader, the Master Chief, he opened up a private com-link to Austin.

"If only John could be here to see this, huh?"

Deciding to make an impression on the former Covenant members joining them, Logan slowly stood and drew himself up to his full height.

An awed silence came over the room, as all those joining them saw how large he was, and those that were higher up in the Covenant ranks actually recognized him. Rolm's face became a mask of fear and hatred, Kopaka and Logara became restless as their worm colonies squirmed inside them, and Marius, his face enraged, actually blurted out, "The Colossus!" Logan looked over at Austin, whose arms were crossed over his chest as he sat back, perfectly relaxed. Logan could just imagine the satisfied grin under Austin's helmet.

"Now. I know we are all going to be a little on edge around each other. We have not been allies very long. But we must remember what we are doing here. Truth has convinced the entire Covenant of a lie, and they are trying to do something that will be the death of us all. Truth is on his way to earth right now, looking for something called the Ark. We have recieved a transmission from Cortana, who has been left behind on Delta Halo. She informs us that Master Chief has stowed away on Truth's ship, and is planning on stopping him from activating the ark.
We are in slipspace, in transit to a system on the edge of what's left of human space. The Covenant has a shipyard there, with an entire fleet of ships waiting to follow Truth to the Ark. Our mission is to infiltrate that shipyard and destroy it, with the hopes of crippling that fleet. The less military power Truth has once he gets to the Ark, the better."

infiltration? im liking the sound of this already
yusnak turns up the volume of his translation unit to be heard over the background muttering

"and what is our plan of attack demon? are there any primary targets besides the ships themselfs?" his chittering and buzzing translated into smooth, calm sangheili and then english a moment later

Rolm growled, hating how the demon spoke to them. As if they were lower then them, but he kept his anger in check. As he listen to the mission, he became, interested in it. This was how he could get back at the jiralhanaes for their attack on his kin. He stood up and said "Yes , and are we going to board each ship and plant a bomb? and...can that jiralhanae be trusted..." He turn his glare at him. He could get along humans, but he refuse to trust a jiralhanae as long as he lived.

Marius leap from his chair, throwing the seat on the ground, he growled and pointed at the Elite,

"If anyone should not be trusted it is you filthy Sangheili! Marius roared at the top of his lungs, "You four jaws are about as trust worthy as... as... well you can't be trusted!"

Marius began to rush at the Elite but the large Hunter behind him placed his massive shield in front of Marius who roared with anger. He sat back down at his sea but not before throwing a rude hand gesture the Elites way.

"calm down brothers! all threw off the shakels of the prophets lies! fighting like this amongst ourselfs only serves their perpose!we need to stand united against their tyrany, any who can see through their deceit should be welcomed with open arms!
Some jiralhanae may have betrayed the sangheili but this one did not! and joined the figh against the prophets!" yusnak points to marius "and had it not been for a sangheili you
would have not have seen the lies the prophets feed you!"

hopefully that will calm them down

He seem to smile , or what could be close to be calling a smile for a Sangheili. He didn't bother to pay attention to Yusnak words as he sat back down. "That is all..'He said as he chuckle to himself. Hopefully with at stunt the Jiralhanae wouldn't be accepted to the mission. But he doubt it did, but he was glad he had a upper hand on the primitive ape.

As Yusnak ends his talk of unity I walk in with Marco, After talking to him about the other members of the team "I dont trust those Hunters as far as i can spit" Our talk ends as i see the Hunters at the entrance to the meeting, Trying not to notice the two Hunters we stand next to eachother holding our helmets at my side, as we stand quiet a distance from the pair of Hunters. Adressed to Logan "Sorry we are late Sir" as i give him a little salute and stand down.

Peace out

Austin raised his hand.

"As the giant bee said, what is our plan of attack, sir? Are there any secondary objectives?"

He looked to the Sangheili and Jiralhanae.

"And you two, I don't care if you rip each other to peices, just do it after the meeting."

"Now before anyone starts freaking out and trying to kill him and whatnot let's consider the facts, we can assume he now has super hero-esque regen, he can mortal kombat your ass, and well uhhmm he has cookies."

As I walk in Mark I finish my conversation with him and my hand drops down to my side arm as we pass the pair of Hunters and take a place in the meeting, My arm slightly less tense after passing the pair of Hunters. I stand firm with my helmet at my side and Salute Logan.

Sits down, places his helmet by his side, takes a deep breath and starts checking his gun. Taking parts off his gun cleaning them with a peice of cloth wrapped round his ankle, He romeves the scope and looks at magnification ring "So....uh.." Spits into his cloth while he wipes the Ocular Lense "Whats the plan here cause I aint workin with those walkin tomb stones" Flicks his head at the pair of hunters and then continues to clean his gun.

Peace out

Logan regards the room and the observes as the general chaos subsides. He nods silently to the two marines who had just entered then waits for all the voices to die down.

"We will be planting a single bomb, not one in every ship. That would take too much time and too many resources. No, instead, we will be planting a Shiva nuke in the shipyard, directly in the center of a cluster of plasma reservoirs, used to refuel the ships engines and weapon systems."

Logan heard Austin give a snort of derisive laughter.

"Hell, Logan, a Shiva will do that job by itself."

"Perhaps, but look at it this way. It'll be a one-two knockout combo. The jab will be the primary explosion, the Shiva. The haymaker will be the secondary explosion, a detonation of twenty-four hundred mega-tons of superheated plasma. The explosions together will completely destroy the shipyard and the ships closest to it. With any luck, the resulting EMP wave will completely disable all the other ships. If our calculations are correct, that wave will consume that whole quadrant of the planet."

Mark spoke up then.

"So how much damage we talkin about doin to those Covenant fuckers?"

"Monumental damage. If successful, we will destroy thousands of battle ships, dozens of carriers and millions of fighters, banshees, and ground vehicles. Not to mention, potentially, over a million covenant lives. In short, it will be the second largest military loss in Covenant history."

It was Austin's turn to ask a question.

"Second? Jesus, wonder what's the first?"

This time, it wasn't Logan who answered. Rolm spoke up.

"The destruction of the first ring by your leader. That destroyed an even larger Armada. That is the largest loss in Covenant history."

Logan silently nodded to confirm that statement.

Austin chuckled, talking to Logan over a private COM line.

"Just like John to wipe out a whole armada and get away alive. He was always lucky like that."

Austin spoke again, this time using his external speakers.

"So, any secondary objectives? What about our plan of attack?"

"Now before anyone starts freaking out and trying to kill him and whatnot let's consider the facts, we can assume he now has super hero-esque regen, he can mortal kombat your ass, and well uhhmm he has cookies."

Jeff made his way into the room, late. He leaned against the wall near the door, nodding in apology to the Spartan who seemed to be in charge. Taking a long look around the room he noticed a wide variety of species in attendance. He didn't trust most of them, including the Spartans who had a bad reputation with the Helljumpers, and felt vulnerable without his weapons.

He had made it just in time to catch the explanation of their mission. It sounded dangerous, but well worth the risk. Jeff watched as the others asked questions, and as some began to fight. He decided to remain silent, leaning against the wall. He kept his face pleasant, just in case somebody was interested in striking up conversation. Mostly, he just wanted this thing to start.

After Jeffrey entered I burst into a little chuckle "Haha...so uh..Let me get this strait, we are going straight into the heart of the covanant shipyard, without being detected or blown out of the sky before we get anywere near there, and blowing those aliens straight back to were ever the hell they came from, without getting killed......" he looks around the meeting with a nervous face "...Sounds like fun" he says with a smile on his face while he does a hand shake with marco.

Rolm growled, he didn't like the frail human soldiers and their consent talking or whining. Hardly a true soldiers they are, but at least they were better then the grunts. He didn't like the demon either, but respected them at least. "I may have a idea to get in. Though..it will require..." He looks over at the brute "some help from the Jiralhanae scum.." He said. "We can use a drop ship from my people, we may have a few pass codes to get in the ship yard. Just have to have the Jiralhanae fly it there, and give them it. Once thats done, we can strike."

Master Looter

Logan listened to the suggestion, then shook his head.

"We thought of that. Unfortunately, all the passcodes have been changed. Ever since your kind split away from the Covenant, they have stepped up security, which means that they changed the codes when that happened, and since then, they have followed a policy of changing their codes regularly. Only the san-shyuum and certain jiralhanae officers know those codes now. And the transmission of incorrect codes results in instantly being shot down.

Fortunately, we do have a plan. We will approach in a Phantom bearing the colors and markings of one belonging to the jiralhanae. Looking like them will keep us from being shot at long enough to drop down to the planet's surface, approximately two hundred kilometers from the shipyard. We will move in, going from cover to cover, keeping our heads down as much as possible. I will be carrying the nuke inside, so I'll need cover and support. Once inside, we will use a hacking device given to us by ONI to access schematics and find out where the plasma cells are.

Now, we know that there is a fleet of fighters docked there. We will take one of those and fly to safety. We will have exactly six minutes to do so after arming the Shiva. If we're not clear by then, we'll all be a part of that little pop."

"Thats cutting it a little close, but where there's someone kicking the Covenant's ass you'll be sure to find a Helljumper. " Jeff paused for a moment looking around the room at the former members of the Covenant, and then exchanged nods with his fellow marines before continuing. "It seems we already have a plan, so what are we waiting for?"

"The puny human makes a good point, why do we sit here in this room when we can be out killing the fools who follow under the power of these pretend prophets! Let us go and kill!" Marius jumped up as he roared those last words, some Grunts joined him in cheering, but mainly due to fear of the immense size of the Jiralhanae, "We shall crush these formers allies to prove what fools they are!"

Marius began chanting in an unrecognizable language as he paraded out of the rooms, again some grunts followed.

Austin sighed at the Jiralhanae.

"We're in slipspace, moron. Or are you planning on walking?"

"Now before anyone starts freaking out and trying to kill him and whatnot let's consider the facts, we can assume he now has super hero-esque regen, he can mortal kombat your ass, and well uhhmm he has cookies."

So much wasted time. Wasted words. They could at least be trying to earn each other's trust, this constant conflict could be the death of us all.
The smaller humans and brutes are the most significant threat to this mission.
A shame that we must include them.

To any of the others, the Lekgolo's communication was lost in the constant low-drone that surrounded the worm colony. Much of the planning they left to the more vocal races. A Lekgolo was used as support, and they accepted that role. If anything was important enough for them to personally mention, they were sure it would be heard and dealt with.
